The first armchair was designed in 1983 by Michele De Lucchi, one of the founders of the Memphis group. A large grey painted metal circle arch forms the backrest and armrests. Two black wooden spheres prefigure the location of the armrests. The metal tube is welded to the front feet. The round seat is in black lacquered wood. Very clean, this construction exudes a strong impression of lightness.
