Pair of glass wall light of the years 50 Holophane

Pair of rectangular wall light in white opal glass and frosted glass signed Holophane. The fixation patina and deflector are marked Holophane. In 1893, André Blondel invented the prismatic glass moulding (on the principle of the Fresnel lens). The invention is patented under the name "Holophane" whose Greek roots mean "harmonious distribution of light".
