Tribute to Cozens

Abstract landscape painting. Unique work, acrylic on canvas, signed Anne Papalia. It is entitled "Homage to Cozens", painter and teacher, Alexander Cozens, in 1785, wrote a "New Method to assist invention in the drawing of original landscape compositions" where the landscape is painted from tasks - thrown at random on paper - with strong evocative power. Victor Hugo, Georges Sand -with the technique of dendrite- then the Surrealists did the same.
