Trunk Kabyle

Kabyle chest dating from the beginning or the middle of the nineteenth century that we have in our family for 50 years. Was purchased in Kabylie in the late 50's in a small village in the Beni Yeni in the mountain above Tizi-Ouzou in a private home. Made of cedar, its main dimensions are 2,00 m x 0.62 m x 0.97 m in height. The trunk is generally in pretty good condition, however, you'll notice that it's been fixed on one of the two small side with a wood of a different nature (probably the olive wood). the sculpted façade décor is neat and in excellent condition. There are still traces of paint of origin on the two short sides.
