Directoire period armchair with very fine woodwork. The whole is pegged. The armchair has been re-edged and repainted with a special gold wood paint from Laverdure. The upholstery has been redone in the traditional way. The fabric is a wild silk from Karin Sajo who revisited the toile de Jouy by Japaneseizing it. The finish is a braid matching the cover fabric.
