Oil on canvas 19th. Signed MB. Splendid sea scenery unleashed under the silver light of a thunderstorm sky with the lighthouse seen from the beach. Very nice presence. The canvas comes from the Maison Blanchet established at 32 Rue Bonaparte in Paris, manufacturer of fine colours and paintings to paint, splendid stencil on the back. If we know nothing of the artist, we have a very nice historical detail: "Emile Blanchet is the first leader of the House Blanchet, which buys in 1893-1894 the commercial Fund of L. Ponsin, A la palette d'Or (the announcement of this redemption is dated February 1894) . Emile Blanchet then takes over the prestigious brand founded by Rey, and will use it as a commercial argument. Thus, in a circular letter of 1904, Emile Blanchet claims to be "sole successor, Maison de la palette d'Or, founded in the eighteenth century". Original frame in gilded wood.
