This modern tall cabinet was manufactured in Scandinavia during the 1960s. This cabinet is a part of set with sideboard - you can find it in another offer or please, contact with me. It is made from ash wood and veneer with irregular, strong grain. The chest has been finished in wood in earth colour and very rare perennial defects on the tree. A burl (or burr) is a tree growth in which the grain has grown in a deformed manner. It is commonly found in the form of a rounded outgrowth on a tree trunk or branch that is filled with small knots from dormant buds. Burls yield a very peculiar and highly figured wood, prized for its beauty and rarity. It is sought after by furniture makers, artists, and wood sculptors. These are highly valued and sliced into veneers for furniture, luxury household objects, automobile interior paneling and trim, expensive musical instruments and woodturning. Moreover, the sideboard has a pair of sliding doors with a hand-painted, geometric pattern. The cabinet has a pair sliding doors with hand-painted pattern in mid-century style. It has a four drawers and shelves inside. Minted vintage condition.
