A rare example of a brass banker lamp from the famous English lighting company Dugdills. c. 1920 Made entirely of brass, this rare Dugdills lamp features early'daisy ' buttons for tightening joints, a green enamelled banker-style Lampshade and a richly decorated and ornate hexagonal base. Left in its original state, patina with brass, lightly cleansed. Rewired with 2 m black twisted cable and 3-pin BS plug. This design is attributed to John Dugdill, an electrical engineer in Manchester, who filed a patent for a "rotating electric switch" in 1906.
