Jar former bvb 50s

From a height of 14 cm (diameter 11) jar whose cover is stamped "BVB" and "Patented United" was probably used to the conservation of foods, because I guess it was fitted with suitable rubber, and probably a metal closure (of small yellow traces filigree do me assume). Farewell jams, compotes, vegetables! They can be used as bribes to flour, coffee or spices, jar candy, or decoration. Today, it begs to be hijacked. I certify, since I made it for me with another jar, you can divert the lid below bottle!
