Alexandre Kostanda (1921-2007) is part of the great ceramists of Vallauris. He opened his studio in 1953 and president of the. V.E.C (Association Vallaurienne for the Expansion of ceramics) for very many years. Its room are atypical because he added the sandstone in the Red Earth of Vallauris and that required him to produce parts to the muted tones. These mugs are typical of his work of the 1950s.
