Carpet Moroccan vintage Azilal Dimensions: 220 x 92 cm. Origin: Made by hand in the Morocco. Material: Cotton and organic wool. Condition: Very good, it's a vintage object, a unique in its kind, which means that there may be minimal irregularities, slight discoloration, loose threads. That gave them a unique character. Azilal and Boucherouite rugs are woven by Amazigh (also known as the Berber) talented women of the middel mountains of the Atlas by hand. Women use tribal geometric design, ethnic signs and codes. Every rug tells a story, big events like weddings, new born, death etc. and women are proud of their artistic expertise. Generally the women of the village know who agitated each rug knots, the colors and symbols. Traditionally the art of making these carpets is passed from mother to daughter.
