Pitcher with speckled decoration by Roger Collet

Roger Collet was Swiss by origin, trained at the Chavannes-Rennan ceramics school. He quickly came to France to complete his training and worked for the Cloutier brothers in Paris and at the Vieux Moulin workshop in Vallauris. He opened his workshop in 1966. Fascinated by Chinese ceramics, his enamels are always sophisticated like this pitcher with speckled decoration. He had a great mastery of throwing and his forms were nervous and sharp.
