This magnificent colonial ball, about five kilos, designed around 1930-1940, is in perfect condition. It has no lack, no fele, no impact. The floral decoration is characteristic of the faïenceries and enamels of longwy, created in 1798 in longwy in meurthe-et-moselle. It was during the 1930s that maurice paul chevallier designed the very first colonial ball of the émaux de longwy factories. The objective was to revive the faience factories, weakened by the stock market crash of 1929. One hundred years later, the faience factories are inscribed on the french intangible cultural heritage, and the colonial balls are still produced, and sell for several thousand euros, or even several tens of thousands of euros for the most prestigious and worked.
