Superb jewel lamp by Louis Kalff, an iconic designer of the 1950s and artistic director of Philips, known for his futuristic lines and sculptural lighting. This model features a green lacquered metal dome, open at the top to reveal the bulb, creating a light effect very characteristic of Kalff's creations. The conical stem rests on a lightweight and elegant golden metal tripod base, highlighting the modernist aesthetic of the lamp. The piece is in very good condition, with some signs of use: a slight abrasion on the inside of one leg and a small paint loss on the edge of the dome, without affecting its stability or charm. The electricity works perfectly: original switch retained, plug and cable replaced for added safety. A rare, iconic, and extremely decorative lamp.
