Introducing our stunning danish ceiling lamp! Danish pendant lamp, or trumpet lamp, in a rare yellow and white combination, designed by architects claus bonderup and torsten thorup for fog & mørup. 1960s. Iconic scandinavian pendant lamp from the 1960s and 1970s, made of aluminum. It shows stains, small dents and signs of use (see photos). It has more than 50 years ! Big size lamp. Designer: bonderup & thorup. No brand at lamp. Manufacturer: fog & mørup. No btrand at lamp. Design period: 1960 to 1969. Country of manufacture: denmark. Product dimensions: width: 60 cm. Depth: 80 cm. Height: 35 cm without cable. Only the trumpet. Short cable, can be longed and replaced easily. Equipped with three arms that accommodate one e27 bulb included, it provides optimal lighting for any space. Although it bears the normal signs of use and years, it's a beauty. The last 5 photos point out its defects: perhaps the worst one is a bend of the aluminum wing in its diameter. Being aluminum, it is very flexible and bent at some point. The inside has some stains and chipped paint. Examine the last 5 photos to understand that it is not a new product but more than 50 years old. Very authentic. In 1968, two undergraduates entered this design in a competition at the school of architecture of the royal danish academy of fine arts. They won first prize. Claus bonderup and torsten thorup (b. 1943 and 1944) immediately became one of the important designers of their generation, and the semi lamp a classic of danish design. The shape, obtained by revolution of a quarter of a circumference about the hanging axis, plays on the tension between concave and convex, minimizing the profile but maximizing the surface, for a soft, tangential diffusion of light.
