Large sculptural bowl Longwy Tourmalines, France, 1960s

Spectacular glazed earthenware bowl from Longwy, Tourmalines collection, shape no. 3448, from the 1960s. Its particularly expressive modernist silhouette combines a long tapered end with a majestic curved volute. The flambé enamel decoration features stunning organic drips blending turquoise, emerald green, blue, burgundy red, and deep green. A very decorative piece, equally interesting as a centrepiece or as a ceramic sculpture on a sideboard or console. Mark on the reverse: Tourmalines – Longwy – France – Made in France, reference 3448. Dimensions: L 36 × D 13 × H 18 cm. Excellent vintage condition: no chips, no losses, and no cracks.
