This magazine rack features a curved bamboo structure forming two overlapping basket handles that define the compartments. The walls are perforated with a series of elongated looped rattan arches, creating a rhythmic façade with an elegant repeated pattern, while rattan core bindings cover the joints. The slightly flared base ensures a stable support for the whole piece. This flexible and graphic work with bent rattan is characteristic of Italian production from the 1960s, in line with Bonacina and the workshops of the peninsula that elevated wickerwork to the status of design, featuring these typical free loops of the Mediterranean taste of the time. Condition report: Generally good condition. Bamboo and rattan are healthy with a warm honey patina, bindings in place, stable structure. A practical and decorative accessory at the foot of a sofa or reading chair.
