This small massive dressing table in blond cherry wood opens with five drawers of different sizes and has a sliding shelf as well as two false drawers on the front. All of these elements are fitted with brass lens buttons. The top of this period piece of furniture opens with two side flaps, mounted on hinges, revealing two spacious reserves. The central part also rises to provide a mercury mirror surrounded by a molded rod. The latter, sliding as the user wishes, is equipped with a double-point hook lock with brass entry and key. Note that this authentic lock also allows the closing of the two side flaps previously described. The fluted uprights stand out on narrow turned legs fitted with brass shoes. This dressing table, certainly intended for men when it was manufactured more than 200 years ago, will please for its clean lines, its small size and the warm tone of its essence. ******** period: late 18th century excellent condition waxed finish.
