Traditional breton butter. This is a sandstone water butter mold with butter container on the lid. This model is minimalist and natural because of its raw-looking sandstone material. Especially suitable for storing butter for two to three weeks outside the refrigerator, putting it in water away from the light. The water comes in protection and prevents the butter from oxidizing and rancid. It's still easy to spread. This butterk has two parts, which fit into each other: the widest is a kind of pot that is filled with water, the other, a kind of big cockerel or small bowl in which you cup the butter well and turn like a lid in the pot. The butter is then immersed in water, without contact with the air. If the butter is not salted, it is possible to add a little salt to the preservative water. Water is changed every day during periods of high heat or less often if it is cold. Lower recipient height: 8 cm, neck diameter 10.5 cm.
