The Hungarian artist Judit Burián designed the "Erika" chair in 1959. She was inspired by the chair of the French designer Pierre Guariche Tonneau. The Erika was produced by SZKIV (Chair and Upholstered Furniture Manufacturing Plant) in tens of thousands of copies. In almost every Hungarian household, these were used during socialism. The new long-haired white faux fur upholstery makes both chairs very modern and elegant. This piece has been attributed based on archival documents, such as vintage catalogs, designer documents, or other documentary sources. Note — This vintage/antique item may show some wear, such as scratches and other signs of use. Light wear consistent with age and use.
