After graduating from furukawa high school, his eldest son yasuo started training in wood for niji in 1972. Other disciples included shinkichi matsutani, sakaeichi sato, and tadashi nakabachi. He worked hard for naruko's kokeshi world, such as working in an important position in the naruko wooden toy cooperative association. He died on march 5, 2004, and was 76 years old.
