Set of 6 dining chairs by Rainer Daumiller, 1970s

This set of solid pine armchairs was designed by Rainer Daumiller and manufactured by the Hirtshals Savværk sawmill in Denmark in the 1970s. The curved back and seat provide optimal comfort for these sturdy chairs. Daumiller was best known for his Nordic pine designs, believing that the locally grown trees would have a smaller footprint than the teak and rosewood used by his peers. These chairs have been varnished and have acquired a beautiful darker patina over the years. Some scratches and signs of wear here and there add to the character of this set, which is in good original condition. We offer a matching Daumiller table, perfectly matching the chairs.
