Vintage "Lazy Light" lamp by Paolo Francesco Piva for Luxo, Italy, 1989

"Lazy Light" lamp, created by the famous Paolo Francesco Piva for Luxo, perfectly embodies Italian post-modernism of the 80s and 90s. This lamp shines with a rather unique mechanism for height adjustment: a button activates a motor that will tension or relax the wire connected to the structure to change its position. In addition to this system, there is a 3-position button to provide two types of brightness or simply turn it off. In profile, its very thin arm appears almost invisible, a true charm! There are some signs of wear, normal over time, a few scratches, and a small piece of a few millimetres that has chipped off at the transparent part of the lampshade, but really nothing that stands out.
