Antique fireplace screen dating from the late 19th century, made of repoussé brass, by the French company "Bouhon Frères". It is stamped "FB" on the back of the screen. Until 1898, Bouhon Frères specialised in fireplaces and bronze accessories. Awarded at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris by the international jury for their screens and andirons, Thomas and Joseph Bouhon received the gold medal. Their pieces are now rare and highly sought after by collectors! This fireplace screen consists of 4 fully foldable panels. It can be placed in front of the fireplace as quickly as it can be stored away! It must have witnessed many long evenings by the fire, so now it's your turn to create lovely memories with it! 🙂 It has been intentionally left in its original condition, with numerous signs of use and age that testify to its authenticity: the brass has an antique patina, the flexible mesh is original, so it has many marks, stains, and imperfections. The corners of the panels have been re-soldered, so there are solder marks, especially on the back of the screen. 👉 Please keep in mind that this is a genuine antique item; it shows signs of time and imperfections that make it a unique object with a story! Thank you for carefully looking at the photos, as they are part of the product description! If you would like more, I would be happy to provide them! Total dimensions: 138 cm long / 51 cm high max. Dimensions of the fully folded screen: 34 cm long / 51 cm high. Total weight excluding packaging: 2.9 kg. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions; I would be delighted to respond!.
