Restored art deco oak pedestal. Source: austria. Period: 1920-1929. Material: solid oak wood. Made by wiener werkstätte arts and crafts workshops, founded by josef hoffmann, koloman moser and fritz waerndorfer. They operated between 1903 and 1932. They sought primarily to restore the artistic and technical qualities of arts and crafts. Wiener werkstätte were divided into the following departments: metalworking, furniture, bookbinding, fashion, ceramic, and initially included an architectural studio. The assortment, which the workshops could not produce themselves due to the technical background (home textiles, glass), was realized by external companies. The wiener werkstätte disappeared as a result of the economic crisis in 1932. Our professional refurbishing team in czechia has fully restored it according to the original process. This item features classic art deco elements. Art deco is a style that originates from france in the early 20th century. Its furniture designs are meticulously crafted, usually using exotic woods. Pieces are typically lacquered to give off a dazzling gloss. These eloquently crafted pieces will add visual performance and posh to any interior.
