Art Deco cabinet with glass doors, various woods, 1930s

A unique cabinet featuring the clean lines of late Art Deco. The rounded corners of the top panel are continued along the outer edges of the doors and are framed by the cubic base. Contrasting with the minimalist design language, the horizontal central bands feature ornamentation with a geometric, delicate openwork pattern. The compact construction allows for a wide range of uses in the living room, kitchen, hallway or even as a wardrobe. Also typical of the period is the use of a wide variety of woods and veneers, such as burl and walnut veneer, as well as solid walnut and pine. The cabinet can be completely dismantled into individual parts for transport, but we would ship the body in its assembled state and pack only the glass doors separately. The cabinet has been fully sanded, stained in its original brown tone and given a gloss finish. All the handles and decorative elements are original. As can be seen in the last photo, there is a second, almost identical cabinet with a slightly different interior layout.
