This ancient head jug of the south west also called dourne was intended to contain domestic water. Its thin walls made it light and promoted a sweating to refresh the water. There are still white traces of kaolin that covered it. It is in perfect condition, without crack or chipping. This jug was worn on the head and gave rise, in the villages, to races of young girls. Dimensions: diameter 38 cm height 24 cm with handles diameter opening 7 cm.
