EA 104 armchair by Charles & Ray Eames

Aluminium chair, model ea 104, swivel with armrest. The seat is made of black fabric (hopsak upholstery), the chair is second-hand and in good condition. The aluminium chair is one of the great classics in 20th century design history. Charles and ray eames designed and developed this chair in 1958 for an art collector's private residence in columbus, indiana. For its construction, the couple of designers abandoned the idea of the seat shell to stretch a panel of fabric or leather between two aluminum side posts, thus obtaining a firm but flexible seat.
