"Sculpture" chair by Philippe Starck 1985

Much more than a Chair, a sculpture... This Chair created by P. Starck at the beginning of his career in 1984 and edited with other furniture "icons" of the image Starck and design 80 's "looks nothing", yet she has all the power of an art object... For the Chair "Mrs Frick", Starck uses the stamped sheet metal and the folding tubular structure that is also found on other of his creations. The seat represents a form of suspension disc on metal rods. The record evokes a kind of fan. Mrs Frick is the name of one of the characters in the science fiction book UBIK by Philip K. Dick.
