Superb Belgian coffee table from the 1980s, made from a combination of noble materials: a top in Belgian blue stone, dense and mineral, resting on a solid oak frame with a strong character. This dialogue between wood and stone highlights the quality of the materials and the strength of the volumes. The whole is supported by four small, discreet and elegant steel feet. The oak frame, deliberately thick and robust, anchors the table in a soft brutalist aesthetic, while the straight joint assemblies reveal a true craftsmanship characteristic of Flemish know-how from this period. With its very low profile, the table adopts a presence that subtly evokes a Japonese spirit: simple lines, calm visual balance, raw materials left in their authenticity. The table is in its original condition, in excellent shape; the blue stone shows a homogeneous patina with softened grey-blue hues, and the solid oak presents a warm and authentic patina, without restoration.
