Gear. Size: 54 X 64 cm (including frame) Oil on board. A striking and richly textured mid century abstract modernist composition, executed in oil onto board. This emotive painting achieves a wonderful balance in layout as distinct blocks of colour have been thoughtfully laid out across the board. Using the impasto technique, thick and creamy layers of paint have been applied in an array of multidirectional brushstrokes, forming a raw textural quality to this painting.
