Large glazed stoneware vase – Designer ceramics

Large glazed stoneware vase – Signed design ceramic. Important turned and sculpted stoneware vase, with a tapered silhouette, entirely covered in a remarkable firing glaze with shades of white, powder pink, and deep brown. The surface features an organic decoration in high relief reminiscent of bark, petals, or mineral formations, animated by numerous cavities and textural effects achieved during firing. The work on the glaze is particularly successful: the drips, rosy hues, and brown-black speckles create a depth and visual richness that make each side different. This unique piece aligns with an aesthetic close to the explorations of contemporary Japanese and Scandinavian ceramics, where material and fire become the true creators of the work. The vase is signed underneath the base (see photo). In very good condition, only a few small chips in the glaze on the upper edge, which are barely visible and do not affect the presentation.
