Jug milk pot Digoin Sarreguemines France

Here is a lovely little earthenware jug, a milk pot, with a beautiful chocolate-coloured glaze. It features nice lines, simple and elegant, with only a decorative relief frieze on the upper edge. It is stamped underneath "Digoin Sarreguemines France," which would date it between 1930 and 1950, although I cannot be certain, as this stamp was used over a fairly wide period. It is in good overall condition: neither cracked nor chipped, just a tiny nick in the glaze on the edge of the upper rim. It measures approximately 11 cm in height, 13 cm in width from the handle to the spout, and 7.5 cm in diameter, reaching 8.5 cm at the top (the more flared part).
