Platea lamp by L. Ferrari and F. Mazzucchelli for Artemide 1965

Sublime platea lamp by leonardo ferrari and franco mazzucchelli tartaglino for artemide. Italy, 1965. Very rare piece by these fabulous designers, with large dimensions. Blue lacquered metal base on which rest two enormous overlapping tulips in white opaline glass. Double switch. One is used to turn on the central bulb. The other to turn on the other 3. It is possible to turn on 1, 3 or 4 bulbs simultaneously and to choose the brightness level. Everything works perfectly and is all original. Very good condition, some traces of time on the base. Nothing important. The switch cable is protected by an adhesive and could be replaced. The cover below the switch is a little damaged by previous handling, nothing important.
