Unique antique Italian wooden hall table / narrow dining table

DESCRIPTION: A beautiful narrow antique table from Italy. The table has a unique design with twisted legs, and the elements around the edge of the top also make this table unique. The top ends in round shapes that, like castle towers, defend the outside. Around the edge runs a wavy ribbed border, an element I have not seen before. Under the top is again a ribbed edge, but now with sharp lines. The legs are connected with beautifully lathe-made elements. Given the signs of use and the construction without nails or screws and other traditional techniques, this table is most likely from around the mid-19th century. Such craftsmanship is unfortunately lost but now available for you. A real asset for a classically furnished home.
