Oil painting on canvas. Still life with country flowers, signed m. Gleizes, dated 1910. Summer floral decoration, summer sheaf with poppies, white and blue daisies and ears of wheat. On a very soft sea green background, the dominant colors are blue, white and red, recalling the soul of french villages from the beginning of the century. The green of the poppy leaves and the blond wheat both contrast and soften the whole picture. Its format of 34.5 cm X 89.5 cm is quite original, being able to be placed vertically or horizontally. Canvas structure on slightly pitted but healthy wood, unframed, in its own juice. Some paint losses, visible mainly through transparency, but the canvas remains intact (no holes on the canvas); take a good look at the last photos. These gaps are not obvious and do not spoil the overall and harmonious vision of the whole. Marked on the back "mlle gleizes" indicating that the painter is a woman.
