Large antique zoological engraving depicting The Washerwoman (wagtail), life-size, in a setting of water lilies and aquatic vegetation. Illustration by Édouard Traviès (1809–1876). The pastel colours add a lot of softness. The engraving is presented in an antique wooden frame. The paper shows a patina of time, with some slight spots and visible waviness, without detracting from the overall aesthetic. A charming piece! Careful shipping.
