Dining table by French architect and designer Marc Held. Table with a laminated top, solid pine base, and steel wire frame. Technical details developed by Mobilier National for the Élysée Palace, specifically for President François Mitterrand's dining room. This chair model is number 3 in the 1982 IBM headquarters cafeteria design. This series, produced in a small batch, consisted of a maximum of 200 tables and 920 chairs to provide catering for the 3, 000 employees working on-site at the time (archival photos). Chairs are made of molded plywood with a subtle relief that reveals the grain, assembled with Allen screws and inserts. Chairs are sold separately.
