Large woven wicker basket

Vintage wicker bassinet. France, mid-20th century. The structure rests on a solid oval base, with delicately perforated sides. The whole piece exhibits a beautiful warm brown patina, acquired over time and use. The bassinet is equipped with two movable side handles, made of wrapped strands and reinforced with natural fibre binding, ensuring both strength and comfort of grip. The interior is fitted with a foam mattress covered in a light fabric, removable, complementing its original use. This type of bassinet reflects a vernacular artisanal craftsmanship. Length: 90 cm. Width: 45 cm. Height: 31 cm. Healthy and stable wicker, with some irregularities and signs of use consistent with age, without structural breaks. Mattress showing signs of wear.
