The signature confirms the very beautiful artisanal quality of the object. This semi-spherical stoneware bowl, with its smooth walls and understated glaze, is directly inspired by the simplicity of tea bowls influenced by the Far East (chawan), which became highly crafted in Europe from the 1960s onwards. The monogram "RT" engraved under the base (on a dark, iron-rich clay left raw) corresponds to the mark of a workshop or an independent studio potter. Although several notable creators share these initials in the history of modern ceramics (such as the Reviers workshop in Normandy with Raymond Thomas), this specific type of hand-engraved signature remains characteristic of a confidential or regional art production. Height 6cm Diameter 10cm.
