Owl, vintage ceramic wall plaque, Laholm, Sweden, 1970s

A stunning handmade vintage ceramic wall plaque depicting an owl made by Laholm ceramic, Sweden from the 1970s. This is a beautiful work of art. The ceramic has a fantastic texture and colors, the eyes and part of the body are a deep green color contrasting with a brownish, unglazed bird body. The inspiration for much of their work is nature and animals, which is visible in this piece. As always, their ceramics are simple, contemporary, but have a timeless quality. There is also a cavity on the back of the owl, ready to be mounted on the wall. It is 25 cm high, 15 cm wide and 5 cm deep. In good condition with no cracks or other defects only with natural wear/light signs of use. Will be securely packaged and shipped with insurance.
