Let yourself be charmed by this singular work, a true testament to the boldness and creativity of the Roaring Twenties. This vase, 20 cm tall, features a decor with very high relief in plant and mineral shapes, enveloped in a cream glaze with grainy and finely cracked textures. Delicate coral-colored enamel cabochons punctuate the material like organic and warm sparks. An emblematic work of the Art Deco era (circa 1925-1930), this piece is signed by the hand of the French master ceramist Louis-Auguste Dage (1885–1961), named Best Craftsman of France in 1925. Renowned for his virtuoso experiments with enamel textures and sculptural reliefs (notably during his time at the famous Faïencerie d'Antony), Dage infuses here all the refinement and geometric modernity characteristic of his time. Height: 20 cm. Incised signature "L. Dage" perfectly legible under the base, a guarantee of authenticity. Condition: Beautiful period patina. It should be noted with care and transparency: two small coral cabochons are missing (visible in close-up in the last two photos, with clear impressions left in the clay), a testament to time that does not alter the poetic strength and decorative presence of this collectible piece. A characterful object, ideal for enhancing a sideboard, complementing a collection of art ceramics, or adding a touch of timeless elegance to your interior.
