Large mercury mirror from the Napoleon III period (circa 1860-1880), in wood and gilded stucco, with parecloses and topped with a rich pediment. Its sculpted decoration, typical of the Louis XVI style revisited under the Second Empire, is distinguished by a pediment adorned with trophies, ribbons and leafy garlands, flanked by fire pots. The side parecloses and finely crafted moldings accentuate the elegance and richness of this model. The original mercury glass offers a vibrant depth and a brilliance characteristic of 19th-century mirrors. The back is paneled with old wooden planks, guaranteeing its authenticity.
