Wall Console with Swan in Gilt Bronze and Green Marble Top

Period: ca. 1940s-50s this is a unique and glamorous wall console, perfect for a hollywood regency decor. The half-moon top is made of sea green marble. The frame is supported by a swan with a long curved neck and outstretched wings; this is in gilded bronze. The swan is reminiscent of the empire style but is more from the 20th century, probably from the end of the art deco period. The table should be attached to the wall with hooks firmly set into the wall (this is a very heavy piece!) that fit into the spaces provided on the back. Condition: good. No damage. Some marks of use such as a scratch in the gilding on the swan's neck (see photo). Dimensions: 38 cm high, 72 cm wide, 24 cm deep, 25.5 cm deep with swan head, 12 kg.
