Important wall plaque in moulded glass with high relief published by Rosenthal Studio-Linie Germany in the “Gleichnisse” (Parables) series, created by Danish designer Bjørn Wiinblad in 1982. Title of the work: “Der verlorene Sohn” (The Prodigal Son). Deep relief composition, night blue decoration enhanced with gold, stylised biblical iconography typical of Wiinblad's ornamental vocabulary. Hieratic faces, stylised vegetation, and architecturally structured elements characteristic of his decorative language from the 1970s–80s. Marking on the back: Limitierte Kunstreihen (Limited Art Series), Rosenthal Studio-Linie Germany, Bjørn Wiinblad 1982. Size: 30.5 X 30.5 cm. Technique: moulded glass in relief with gold highlights. Original wall mounting. Overall good condition. Light wear to the peripheral gilding visible, consistent with age. No structural chips noted. A strong decorative piece for design collections, contemporary interiors, or enthusiasts of Scandinavian decorative art.
