Designed in 1938 and manufactured by Burrage & Boyd, the K3 Kettle was initially produced under their "Newmaid" name, before being renamed "Picquot Ware" when post-war production was ramped up and the range was expanded to include complete tea sets. Picquot ware has been made from 'magnailium', an alloy of manganese and aluminum specially developed for the range.
