The Moser bonbonniere from the 1930s is the essence of Central European applied art in the spirit of Art Deco. Hand-cut, colourless crystal with high transparency and shine attracts attention with its geometric faceting and distinct, symmetrical form. The lid is topped with a multi-faceted, faceted handle, and the body is surrounded by vertical, precisely cut panels that create a play of light and shadow. The solid, also faceted base provides stability and balance to the composition. The whole piece was made at Moser – a renowned Czechoslovakian manufactory famous for its sophisticated glassmaking techniques and attention to every detail. The condition is excellent – no signs of use, chips, or restoration. In this bonbonniere, you can hear the voice of the modernist 1930s, when transparent crystal became a carrier of light and luxury. Moser, a master of glassmaking craftsmanship, created an object that speaks of the need for clarity and decorative discipline: light passing through sharply cut facets turns everyday life into a small spectacle of reflections.
