A vintage french polished, hardwood pedestal occasional table with shelf and drawer dating from the 1950s. A darkly varnished wooden side table, plant stand; the perfect size for a table lamp, plants and ornaments. This stand has an extra shelf for books or more plants and other items. It is solid, sturdy and super stylish. Perfect for hallways/entryways and library/reading rooms. It stands 59.5cms/ 23½" tall. The rectangular top, has rounded edges and measures 32.5cms/ 12¾" long, 24cms/ 9½", wide. The bottom shelf measures 25.5cms/ 10" long X 23.5cms/ 9¼" wide. The drawer is 18cms/ 7" long X 15cms/ 6" wide X 8.5cms/ 3¼" deep. It has brass, pivoting, handle. It is heavy weighing 4.4kgs/ 9.7 lbs. In amazing condition, it is a genuine vintage item and therefore has some slight surface scratches/scrapes from years of genuine use. The varnish has slight signs of "wear", adding extra authenticity and charm. It has many, many years of service yet to offer. A wonderful, unusual table from a "by-gone" era!.
