Handcrafted alabaster catchall from natural Egyptian vintage, 1960s-1970s.

Beautiful vintage ashtray in banded calcite alabaster, known as Egyptian onyx, vintage Egyptian craftsmanship from the 1960s-1970s. Completely hand-carved and polished, elegant oblong shape, boat-like. Stone with cream, honey, and white hues, crossed by parallel natural veins, magnificent translucency in the light. 25cm long, 12cm wide, and 2.5cm high. Very good overall condition, without cracks or chips, with some signs of polishing in the bottom visible only under raking light, small light scratches, and a discreet small rubbing mark on one of the tips; the visible lines in the stone correspond to its natural veins. Approximately 200g, very fine.
