Art deco chess

German art deco style wooden chess set from the mid-20th century consisting of two sides with marquetry squares. This is a private collectible chess set, perfect for display and functional thanks to its portable size. The board measures 25.5 cm long, 26 cm wide and 4.5 cm high. When folded and closed, it is 25.5 long, 13.5 deep and 8 high. The king measures 8 cm and the pawn 4. It weighs 700 grams. In good general condition, with some traces of time on the parts and the tray (see photos).
